Welcome to the website of horror writer Daniel W. Powell, author of the novel Wendigo. This site was created to allow Daniel a forum to interact with fans and writers of speculative fiction and to post updates on any forthcoming works.
Daniel began writing at an early age, when the stories of Roald Dahl, Robert McCammon and Stephen King captured his imagination and compelled him to look for the beauty inherent in dark fiction.
Daniel is a professor of English at Florida Community College at Jacksonville. He was an award-winning journalist in his native state of Oregon and has published multiple works of academic non-fiction and speculative short fiction.
